Juneteenth, or Emancipation Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. It was first celebrated in Texas, where on June 19, 1865, enslaved people were finally made aware that they had been freed under the Emancipation Proclamation of 1862. • June 19 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • The Juneteenth Pullman Neighborhood Celebration will feature a parade, as well as a day of youth athletic activities, including basketball, football, track & field and more.
